Terms of Service

By purchasing a ticket or entry for any event, raffle, tip board, giveaway, bingo, or special event sponsored by Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Age Requirements: Participants must meet the minimum age requirement for the specific event. Some special events may be restricted to individuals 21 years of age or older. A valid, government-issued photo ID may be required for admission, participation, prize claims, or alcohol-related activities.

  • Admission and Participation: Event tickets are valid only for the event and date specified. Admission may be denied if age or identification requirements are not met.

  • Prize Claims: All prizes or winnings must be claimed within 30 (thirty) days of the drawing or event date. Unclaimed prizes will remain the property of Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

  • Shipping: Prize shipping is available where permitted by law and will be provided at the winner’s expense.

  • Regulated Items: If a prize consists of a regulated or restricted item, the winner must satisfy all applicable federal, state, and local laws and eligibility requirements before the item can be transferred.

  • State Reporting Requirements: In accordance with West Virginia Code §47-21-22, Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. may be required to collect and report the name, address, Social Security number, and other information for any individual receiving raffle prizes with an aggregate value exceeding $100.

  • Non-Transferability: Event tickets, raffle entries, and tip-board entries are non-transferable and may not be resold without the express written consent of Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

  • Assignment of Entries: Raffle and tip-board entries will be assigned in the order transactions are received, based on the timestamp recorded by Shopify. Entry selection will proceed left to right across each row and top to bottom on the tip board unless otherwise announced.

  • Event Scheduling: Raffle reveals, drawings, and special event activities may be scheduled once all entries are sold. In extraordinary circumstances, as determined solely by Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., an event or drawing may proceed before all entries are sold.

  • Authorized Sales Platform: Shopify is the only authorized online platform for the purchase of official event tickets, raffle entries, and tip-board entries unless otherwise announced by Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

  • All Sales Final: All ticket and entry sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be issued except where required by law or if an event is canceled by Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

  • Event Conduct: Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the event.

  • Alcohol Service (21+ Events): For events where alcohol is available, attendees must be 21 years of age or older and present valid identification. Newell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any individual in accordance with applicable laws and responsible-service practices.
